Size: 30.5cm x30.5cm
Hanging ready

Representing the round fishing nets woven by the women with cordage made from stringy bark tree. This practise would be done together, sitting with many generations of women passing on this knowledge and keeping the weave tight so as to not let the fish escape or the net to unravel. Passed down for many generations where all hold an important responsibility.

We live and work on the unceded lands of the Widjabul Wiabul people. We move in respect with the Elders, the Country and the Water. May we invoke change in the people of the colony so our lore may flourish and heal the land and its people.
